This is a George Case 48-Key Treble with brass reeds. It has been fitted with new pads and valves, and been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

This is a beautiful early instrument, and is actually a really lovely player too. For somebody who is looking for a pretty quick but mellow player that is decorative and has a lot of age to it, you won’t find much better than this. It is responsive and has the sweetest tone, and its only real holdback as a playing instrument is the original 4-fold bellows (which are in too-good-a-condition to replace for the sake of making the concertina more versatile). It has a double-chambered reed-pan.
