This is a Lachenal 55-Key Maccann Duet with steel reeds. It has been refinished, and fit with new bushings, pads, valves and straps, and been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

This is a really nice, fully restored 55-Key Maccann that looks lovely and plays well. Whilst a 55-Key will never be as desirable as a 57-Key due to the lack of a C on the right hand, it’s still a fantastic, more compact instrument for somebody who’s perhaps looking to progress from their first 39 or 46-Key. Due to the refinishing, this concertina is in really tidy condition, and has the unusual benefit of a very good set of 8-fold bellows which have been fitted to it at some point in its life.
