This is a Lachenal 79-Key Maccann with steel reeds. It has recently been restored by Nigel Sture, and had new pads and valves fitted and been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

This is a big instrument, but a very nice playing one! It is a responsive player with a nice well-rounded tone, and has a fair amount of dynamic range. Obviously it’s a very large instrument so won’t be for everybody, but if somebody is looking for a really nice, larger Maccann then this may just be perfect.
