This is a Wheatstone ‘Inimitable’ 48-Key Treble with brass reeds. It has been fitted with new pads, valves and straps, and tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

The word ‘Inimitable’ is in quotation marks because this concertina is the Wheatstone version of the Lachenal Inimitable- it’s essentially the same instrument but with a different set of reeds. It is a decent player with a very gentle tone. Not ideal for cutting through loud sessions but perfect for somebody looking to back their own singing. This kind of soft tone is increasingly popular with concertinas, and you won’t find much softer than this.
