This is a Wheatstone Aeola 56-Key Tenor-Treble with steel reeds. It is about to enter restoration, but is also available for sale as-is. Use the contact function to either buy the concertina in its current condition, or to register interest in the instrument once restored. It will cost £2500 for sale as-is, and around £3500 after restoration.

This is a Wheatstone Aeola made in 1938- not quite as good a period as Wheatstones in the 30-33 thousand serial number range, but also much better than the concertinas that were to follow. It has aluminium reed frames which is great for a lot of players due to how much lighter the concertina is. The bellows are in pretty good condition, and the pads and valves have been changed at some point in its life (but would need to be changed by us if we were to restore the instrument to a standard we need to sell it ourselves). The concertina will require a touch-tune. It has been tuned to concert pitch, but numerous reeds have wandered slightly. But all in all, it’s a very responsive player, and if you’re looking to own a Wheatstone Aeola Tenor-Treble and don’t mind a concertina that’s a little worn with some scratches and dents on the side-rails, then this is a great opportunity to do it cheaply.
