This is a Wheatstone Aeola 56-Key Tenor-Treble with steel reeds. It has been fitted with new pads and valves, and been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

This is a very nice instrument, as you might expect from a top model Wheatstone Tenor-Treble. It has been ‘restored’ in recent years by a musical instrument retailer that stocks a few concertinas, and comes with the receipt for that restoration- although we’ve corrected a lot of those areas of restorations since and it is now playing well. It has a nice action and is a responsive player with a well-balanced tone.
