This is a Wheatstone Aeola 56-Key Tenor-Treble with steel reeds. It has been fitted with new pads, valves and thumbstraps, and has been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

This is a very nice Wheatstone Tenor-Treble, from a very good period in Wheatstone’s manufacturing. It is a very responsive player with a nice action, and a surprisingly bright tone- almost more like a metal-ended instrument. It also had plenty of dynamic range available. We’re reducing this concertina due to the fact that it is a little rough aesthetically. The side-rails are a bit worn, and there is wear on the ends in a few places. If you don’t care how a concertina looks, then this is a bit of a bargain.
