This is a Wheatstone Aeola 48-Key Treble with steel reeds. It has been fitted with new pads, valves and straps, and been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz). The serial number is 28820.

This is a top example of Wheatstone’s top model, from one of their very good periods of production. It is a very fast player with a lovely tone- balanced, but with a hint more brightness than a wooden-ended equivalent. It also has plenty of dynamic range, which is always a very nice tool to have. It also has wrist straps fitted, which are essential for some players. The original 6-fold bellows are in fantastic condition, as is the whole instrument all-round.
