This is a Wheatstone 48-Key Treble with raised ebony ends and steel reeds. It has been refinished and re-bushed, fitted with new 6-fold bellows, pads, valves and straps, and tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz). The serial number is 22680.

This is a really lovely looking instrument, and it plays to a similar level of quality. The most notable thing about this concertina’s playability is how responsive and loud it is. It requires virtually no effort to produce a clean and consistent note, and the tone doesn’t cross the border into the realm of harshness. It has the huge benefit of new 6-fold bellows too which means this concertina is a very nice thing to play- an extremely efficient machine.
