This is a Wheatstone 48-Key Aeola Treble with steel reeds. It has been fitted with new pads, valves and straps, and tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

If you’re looking for a 48-Key Treble concertina, then the Wheatstone Aeola is the best you can get. The serial number of this instrument is 25771, which doesn’t place it in the very top period of Wheatstones but nonetheless, it’s a fantastic player. It is incredibly responsive with a lovely tone that you would expect from some of Wheatstone’s very best reeds. It is also in really lovely condition- it’s rare to find wooden-ended concertinas looking so good with their original finish. This is a really fantastic instrument.
