This is a Lachenal Paragon 48-Key Treble with steel reeds and ebonised ends. It has been fitted with new pads, valves and straps, and been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

The ebonised ends tends to signify a higher-end version of the model of concertina. That does seem to be the case with this Paragon, but it isn’t priced that way due to the amount of wear on the ends. It is a good solid player as you would expect from a concertina in this price range- responsive with a balanced tone. It does have the benefit of 6-fold bellows, and is a very solid all-rounder of a mid-range English concertina.
