This is a Lachenal Paragon 48-Key Treble with brass reeds. It has been fitted with new pads, valves and straps, and been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

Lachenal’s later-period Paragons would usually be something we wouldn’t get too excited by, especially with brass reeds, but this is an exception to the rule- a nice, mellow concertina that’s fairly responsive, but is cheaper than earlier, steel-reeded equivalents! The ends are in very tidy condition, with the bellows being a little scruffier but still completely airtight.

A perfect upgrade for somebody looking to move on from their first tutor model instrument to something with a sweet, mellow tone.
