This is a Lachenal New Model 48-Key Treble with steel reeds. It has been fitted with new pads, valves and straps, and has been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

This is a lovely concertina, as New Models tend to be. It was fully restored a few years ago and it is in good playing order. It has a gentle tone which is always popular with musicians these days, and the New Model (along with Wheatstone flat-ended concertinas) is the last stop before heading into the upper echelon of English concertinas in terms of quality and price.
