This is a Lachenal Edeophone 64-Key Tenor-Treble with steel reeds. It has been refinished, fitted with new pads, bushings, valves, pads and straps, and been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

There is something so unique about the sound of an Edeophone Tenor-Treble that we really love, and is the perfect kind of tone to accompany singing. This concertina is a responsive player and has a real depth and softness to its tone without being a timid instrument- plenty of volume is also available. The major difference between this and a Wheatstone Aeola equivalent is the action, but this still feels really nice to play. It wouldn’t necessarily suit a tune player particularly well, but any kind of accompaniment would work a treat on this lovely box.
