This is a Wheatstone Aeola 67-Key Maccann with steel reeds. It has been fitted with new pads and valves, and been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

The Wheatstone Aeola is the King of the Maccann duets, and this is a fine example of the model from a very good period in Wheatstone’s production. The only downside to the concertina (and the reason for its reduction in price) is that 67-Key Maccanns are nowhere near as popular as 57/60-Keys due to the additional size and weight. There is some logic to this, but when you consider the fact that the majority of Maccanns are usually played sat-down, the extra weight of a 67-Key really isn’t enough to affect playing in any major way. If that sounds reasonable to you, then you have an opportunity to buy a top-end concertina for a discounted price, which is very good news!
