This is a Wheatstone 46-Key Maccann with steel reeds. It has been fitted with new pads and valves, and tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz). The serial number is 31913.

There is often a debate about which period of Wheatstone concertinas are the best, but we’re in no doubt that the 31000 range of instruments tops them all. Picking up this instrument and playing a few notes does nothing to dispel that theory, as it’s a really fantastic player- very responsive with the well-rounded tone you’ll get from top Wheatstone reeds combined with wooden-ends. It is a slight frustration that it’s only a 46-Key instrument, which tends to be for the lower-quality beginner’s instruments (although we have seen a few exceptions with Edeophones etc). It’s a difficult thing to price when considering practicality and quality, but it is definitely cheap for something with reeds so good!
