This is a Wheatstone 46-Key Maccann with steel reeds. It has been fitted with new pads and valves, and has been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

This is a really nice instrument, aside from being a little rough in places. It’s a great little player- responsive with a bright tone, and plenty of dynamic range. The instrument has been restored by Crabb at some point, including some internal bellows patches, and one external. The bellows are airtight though, and this doesn’t affect playability at all. The ends are actually in pretty good condition, which tends to not be the case when internal bellows repairs are necessary.

A great concertina for somebody wanting to either upgrade from their first budget 46-Key Maccann, or to start off their Duet journey on something a little higher-quality than a brass-reeded Lachenal.
