This is a very interesting Lachenal 60-Key Edeophone Maccann Duet with steel reeds, new pads and valves, and tuned to concert pitch. The serial number of this instrument is 4360 which we’d estimate to have been made around 1920.

The lowest note on the left is a G2, and the lowest note on the right is a G3, which would usually be the lowest note on a much larger Maccann. As concertina players usually want and need the lower notes on a Maccann then this instrument would be perfect, as it’s the same range without the extra size and weight.
