This is a Lachenal 55-Key Maccann Duet with steel reeds. It has been fitted with new pads, valves and straps, and been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

Whilst a 55-Key Maccann will always lack the versatility of a Maccann with just two more buttons, this is a really decent all-round player. It is a responsive player with a fairly balanced tone (slightly leaning towards the brighter end of the tone scale). It’s in pretty tidy condition too.
