This is a Crabb 69-Key Maccann Duet with steel reeds. It has been fitted with new pads and valves, and been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

This is a big Duet, and is a good example of Crabb’s top ‘Aeola’-style instrument during their later years. It is a pretty responsive player with a brighter tone. The huge price reduction is simply due to the concertina’s size and weight, but that does mean that you’re buying a top-end concertina from one of the concertina’s most renowned makers for the price of a cheap Lachenal Anglo!
