This is a Wheatstone 36-Key Anglo in C/G with steel reeds. It has been fitted with new pads, valves and straps, and tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

Wheatstone anglo concertinas often get unfairly overlooked- possibly due to the fact that they get near to Jeffries in terms of price but lack the reputation/unique tone of the top Jeffries instruments. We’re currently building a really top collection of Wheatstone anglos, and they deserve to be seen by more people, as they are unquestionably better designed than Jeffries, even if they do lack that trademark Jeffries sound. This is a really lovely player- responsive with a well-rounded, balanced tone. It is in pretty tidy original condition, apart from a couple of small scars to the metalwork on the right side.
