This is a very high quality Lachenal 20-Key Anglo in C/G with a full set of steel reeds. It has been fitted with new 6-fold bellows, button bushings, pads, valves and straps, and tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz). It has also had the ends refinished.

Lachenal anglos are always the most messed-around-with concertinas available, and it’s very rare to find one in very tidy condition- especially 20-Key anglos. As an experiment, we’ve taken a 20-Key anglo with a good set of reeds and given it a full restoration, making this one of the nicest looking and playing Lachenal 20-Key Anglo concertinas that you’ll find anywhere. It has the benefit of 6-fold bellows and button bushings which you wouldn’t see on this kind of instrument, and the refinished ends look particularly nice.

Whilst this is more expensive than any other 20-Key anglo we would usually sell, the restoration undertaken does provide an instrument that would be available anywhere else- a genuine concertina with a strong set of steel concertina reeds that looks like a brand new instrument.
