This is a McNeela ‘Phoenix’ 30-Key Hybrid Anglo in C/G with accordion reeds. Its condition is ‘as new’, and it is in concert pitch (A=440hz).

This is an instrument that came into stock in part-exchange, and whilst we obviously aren’t the biggest proponents of hybrid concertinas, this Phoenix does exactly what it says on the tin. It’s a nice looking thing, it’s a 30-Key Anglo which is pretty responsive due to the accordion reeds, and as a brand new instrument (in comparison with the rest of our stock), it’s likely to be fairly unproblematic in terms of massive issues arising over the next few years. It is important to say that hybrid concertinas such as this do not have a real concertina tone, but if that isn’t a problem for you then this will play exactly like a Victorian instrument does.  This is also a bargain price for one of these, considering that they’re over £1200 new. We’re sure this will sell extremely quickly, so please don’t hesitate if you are interested!
