This is a Lachenal 32-Key Anglo in C/G with steel reeds. It has been fitted with new bellows, bushings, pads, valves and straps, and tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

We have had a fair number of this model of Lachenal Anglo come into stock over the last couple of years, and they’ve all proved to be extremely popular and haven’t been around for long, so we’d expect the same for this one. It has been rebuilt so is now playing really well as well as looking very good- the only slight downside is that the fretwork has become slightly dull over the years- no amount of polishing has managed to really make it shine! But concertinas are for playing and not for looking at. It’s responsive and has a lovely well-rounded tone, with a slightly more mellow left-hand than right-hand, giving a great balance for chord accompaniment to a melody.

The extra two buttons outside the standard 30-Key are a cockcrow and bird-whistle.
