This is a Lachenal 32-Key Anglo in C/G with steel reeds. It has been re-bushed, and fitted with new 6-fold bellows, pads, valves, and straps, and has been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz). The serial number of this concertina is 165690.

We’ve picked up a few of these top-end Lachenal Anglos over the past few months and they really are great concertinas. They’re also often found in very rough condition, which gives the opportunity to do a lovely refurbishment job like the one you can see on this instrument, making them look almost like new. This concertina is a lovely player, quick and responsive. It also has a more balanced tone than you might associate with a metal-ended instrument. The concertina has a set of new 6-fold bellows that have a huge amount of room for push and pull, and once they’re played in a little bit they’ll be an absolute dream.

The extra 2 keys are a cock-crow and a whistle.
