This is a Lachenal 32-Key Anglo in C/G with steel reeds, metal ends and metal buttons. It has been fitted with new pads, bellows, button-bushings, valves and straps, and tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

As you can see, this is an anglo that has been through a full restoration and is looking fantastic. It has the huge advantage of brand new bellows (which will loosen up as they’re played in), and with everything else that has been restored and set-up, this concertina will be playing fantastically for a long time. It is a fast player, and has a very well-rounded tone for a metal-ended instrument- it definitely does have volume too.

This model of anglo was at the very top of Lachenal’s range, and it plays to match. It’s no Crabb or Jeffries, but it’s still a fantastic quality instrument.
