This is a Lachenal 26-Key in C/G with steel reeds. It has been fitted with new pads, straps and valves, and tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

The Lachenal 26-Key Anglo is in a difficult space- stuck between being more useful than a 20-Key but not as useful as a 30-Key. For somebody who plays a 20-Key instrument wanting something of slightly more quality with a few extra notes without wanting to spend a few hundred pounds more, then this would be a lovely option. It’s a nice player- fairly responsive, with a softer tone. It has a few standard signs of wear on the fretwork around the buttons due to lots of playing over the years- it’s all a part of the history of the instrument!
