This is a Lachenal 26-Key Anglo in G/D with steel reeds. It has been fitted with new pads, valves and straps, and been tuned.

Whilst this may not be a looker of a concertina due to the wear on the woodwork (which you’d probably expect from an instrument made for the Salvation Army), it is a really good player- as these SA instruments tend to be. It is a responsive player with a nice rounded tone that is always a little sweeter in the key of G/D, and has the benefit of 6-fold bellows. Cheaper G/D Anglos aren’t the most common things in the world, so we don’t expect this one to be around for very long!
