This is a Wheatstone 48-Key Treble with steel reeds. It has been fitted with new pads, valves and bellows, and been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

My suspicion is that this was potentially a Wheatstone wooden-ended concertina that suffered damage and was then converted into a metal-ended instrument at the Wheatstone workshop, due to a few indications noticed during the restoration process. It is a nice, quick player with a slightly more bright tone- not at all overpowering, though. It has a good set of Wheatstone reeds and a nice riveted action, so is definitely a quality instrument for the price range it falls into. It also has the benefit of new 6-fold bellows.
