This is a Wheatstone Aeola 56-Key Tenor Treble with steel reeds (serial number 32806). It has been fitted with new pads and valves, and tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

Whilst this is from a period of Wheatstone’s manufacturing where things started to become less consistently-good, this is an example of a very nice instrument from that time. It is very responsive with a well-rounded, balanced tone (not harsh, as some people assume all metal-ended concertinas are), and it’s generally in very tidy condition.
