This is a Wheatstone 48-Key Treble with steel reeds (serial number 25364). It has been fitted with new bellows, bushings, pads, valves and straps, and been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

This is a very nice concertina. As with a lot of these raised-metal-ended Wheatstones, it is bright tonally and has plenty of volume, but with plenty of dynamic range that gives a lot more balance to the instrument as a whole, as opposed to some Lachenal New Models with metal ends which are bright for the sake of being bright. It has the benefit of new 6-fold bellows, and is a joy to play- a very light action and quick response. There is some slight weathering to the metalwork, but nothing too major.
