This is a Lachenal Paragon 48-Key Treble with steel reeds. It has been fitted with new pads and valves, and been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

This is a very nice player, especially considering that it’s a slightly later period Lachenal. It’s not really a looker of an instrument, with signs of wear on the ends around the buttons, but it really does play. It’s responsive with a lovely balanced tone, and is a pretty versatile concertina. A fantastic choice to upgrade to from your first tutor model instrument.
