This is a Crabb 48-Key Treble with steel reeds. It has been fitted with pads and valves in recent years, and has been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

This is a really solid concertina for the price, especially considering the model it is (raised, metal ends). It is fairly responsive with a brighter tone as you might expect from a Crabb metal-ender, and it is in pretty good condition all-round.

Definitely an upgrade for somebody who’s currently playing their first tutor-model/ mid-range Lachenal concertina.
