This is a Wheatstone 46-Key Maccann with steel reeds. It has been fitted with new pads and valves, and has been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

Whilst the 46-Key Maccann tends to be seen as more of a beginner’s Maccann (most serious players tend to prefer something with 57 keys or above), this is a really nice instrument that’s of much higher quality than a typical Lachenal 39/46-Key. It’s from very good Wheatstone period so has a very nice set of reeds, and has the benefit of metal buttons and a nice riveted action. It also has 6-fold bellows in good condition, which is always a plus-point.
