This is a Lachenal 32-Key Anglo in C/G with steel reeds (serial number 191509). It has been fitted with new pads, valves and straps, had a partial bellows rebind, and been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz). The extra two buttons are notes, and it is Lachenal layout.

This is an opportunity to own a model of Lachenal rosewood anglo at a very low price. You’re probably wondering about the reasoning for this low price, and there are a couple of factors. Firstly, the condition of the wooden ends isn’t wonderful, with obvious wear marks (as pictured)- definitely a concertina for someone who isn’t looking for aesthetic perfection in an instrument. Secondly, later period Lachenals like this one are made to a lesser quality across the board than earlier equivalents. It’s a good player, and definitely better than any alternatives around this price range- it’s just not as great as some Rosewood Lachenals can be. The bellows have had a partial rebind on the bottom to protect from wear.
