This is a Lachenal 30-Key Anglo in C/G with steel reeds. It has been fitted with new pads, valves and straps, and been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

This is the perfect instrument to have as a first 30-Key genuine anglo concertina. It’s never going to be quite as responsive as hybrid concertinas that are at a comparable price range, but it does come with two massive benefits- it’s a real concertina with proper reeds (and sounds like one too!), and it doesn’t lose any value, whereas a new hybrid loses half the value when it leaves the shop. This is a fairly responsive concertina, and has a balanced tone that leans slightly more towards the mellow end of the scale. It is in pretty tidy condition, and the original bellows are in good condition.
