This is a Jeffries Bros. 26-Key Anglo in Ab/Eb with steel reeds. It has been fitted with new bellows, bushings, pads, valves and straps, and been tuned. The accidentals are in a Jeffries layout.

Whilst Jeffries Brothers concertinas don’t come with the same kind of kudos that C Jeffries instruments do, they still share a lot of the same characteristics that make a Jeffries so distinguishable. This concertina showcases a couple of those similarities- it is loud and bright, and has that trademark Jeffries tone. Obviously, the ends of the concertina have freckled over time, so the instrument isn’t for somebody who values aesthetic condition over playability. What this concertina is, however, is a a much more affordable way to own a Jeffries in a different key, which will expand the amount of keys available to you as an anglo player.
