This is a Jeffries 46-Key Anglo in C/G with steel reeds. It has been fitted with new bellows, bushings, pads, valves and straps, and been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz). This is Jeffries layout.

The 46-Key Jeffries can over be overlooked, but if you don’t mind the extra weight that comes with the additional buttons, then this is a cracking instrument. Firstly, it’s in lovely condition- the ends are very tidy and the new bellows give the concertina an entirely fresh look to it. But it’s also a very fast player, which is exactly what you want with a top-end anglo concertina. Jeffries are always messed around with to some extent, but the only obvious messing around had been with the accidental row, which had been moved around. It’s now back as you would expect with Jeffries reeds, and is playing very well!
