A very nice middle range Wheatstone treble. There is no number on the outside but I seem to recall that it was from somewhere in the 1920’s.
It has flat metal ends. metal buttons, steel reeds and 5 fold bellows.
It was fitted with new pads and straps when i got it. It now also has new valves and is tuned to concert pitch.
It is a very decent playing instrument, has a riveted action-which Lachenals don’t have-and has quite a gentle tone which is what this model often has. The raised metal-ended concertinas can be very strident and great for Morris or Dance bands-but these flat ended ones always seem to have the harshness taken off them-so don’t dismiss it just because of the ends if you want something not too harsh.
It is in good condition, playing well and a bargain at this price.
Model: 48 Key Treble
