This is a lovely Wheatstone Raised Ebony-Ended Treble, restored by Mike Acott. It has steel reeds,6-fold bellows, new pads and valves, and is tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).
We’re going through a spell currently of bringing lots of this model into stock, but they all seem to have metal ends. In today’s concertina climate, wooden-ended instruments seem to be more and more popular due to their more mellow tone which makes them perfect for singing accompaniment. This concertina is a very good example of Wheatstone’s raised-ended instruments, and it’s lovely ebonised ends give it a lovely warm tone. This is the model which is a step down from the Aeola, but is nonetheless a fantastic instrument.
Model: 48-Key Treble
