This is a Wheatstone ‘Inimitable’ 48-Key Treble with brass reeds. It has been fitted with new pads and valves, and tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

This is a lovely looking concertina. It is Wheatstone’s take on the Lachenal Inimitable with the decorative inlays in the fretwork. It also has a very decorative set of 5-fold bellows which feature gold tooling and bellows papers that we haven’t seen before. The bellows are extremely supple and air-efficient, which contribute to a very fast-playing instrument- much faster than you’d expect from a brass reeded concertina. It also has a lovely, mellow tone- the exact thing so many people look for in a concertina these days.
