This is a Wheatstone Aeola 48-Key Tenor with steel reeds. It has been fitted with new pads and valves, refinished and rebushed, and tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

The Tenor is an incredibly desirable type of concertina due to its layout, which loses the top row of notes on a Treble which most people these days don’t use, and has an extra row of notes at the bottom end of the scale which are really popular notes to have, especially for people who like to accompany singing on their concertina. This one is a very nice player- quick and responsive. It is a later-period Wheatstone which have a different action to the riveted-action that Wheatstone used throughout the majority of their manufacturing period, but it still feels nice.
