This is a Wheatstone 8-Key Miniature with steel reeds. It has been fitted with new pads and valves, and been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz). It is in a C scale.

This is one of the rarest miniature concertinas in the world, due to the fact that it is one of the smallest concertinas ever made (measuring 2″ across the flats). We only know of two others of this size, which makes this a very valuable collectors item- and we’d like it to be with a collector as opposed to sitting on our shelves. It is a responsive player, but plays best when using the tremelo playing style, and it has a bright tone (as you might imagine). It also comes from what we consider to be Wheatstone’s best period. You won’t find one of these very easily!
