This is a Wheatstone 48-Key Treble with Raised Metal Ends (serial number 26662). It has been fitted with new pads and valves, and tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

These raised-ended Wheatstones are always very good instruments, and this one is no exception. It produces a fair amount of volume whilst maintaining a very balanced tone, and it is extremely responsive and easy to play. This is about as good as an English concertina can get before delving into the world of the Wheatstone Aeola, and is the stand out instrument in this price range.
