This is a Wheatstone 48-Key Treble with Raised Metal Ends (serial number 25364). It has been fitted with new pads and valves, and tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

This is a really lovely instrument. It’s everything you’d expect from a top Wheatstone concertina. Fantastic quality reeds, quick playing and a lovely tone. Whilst it’s not quite at the level of a top Aeola, it’s a huge step up from the flat metal-ended models and would feel good in the hands of any English concertina player.
