This is a Wheatstone 48-Key Treble with steel reeds. It has been fitted with new pads, valves and straps, and has been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

This is a really nice instrument, that is a little cheaper due to the crack on the right hand (which doesn’t photograph well due to the grain of the wood). It’s a non-moving crack, but it does decrease the concertina’s value. This is a concertina with riveted steel reeds- a reed that is far more difficult to work with from a restoration perspective, but are generally very good quality Wheatstone reeds. It is a responsive player with a nice balanced tone, and would be perfect for somebody upgrading from their first English.
