As tutor-model concertinas go, this is potentially the best you can get. It is a Lachenal 48-Key Treble with a new set of 6-fold bellows, steel reeds and button-bushings. 

It would be more accurate to compare this instrument to a Lachenal Paragon than it would be to the majority of tutor model concertinas- the only difference is that the Paragon would have metal buttons and cost you £250 more. 

It’s a really lovely instrument, and would be perfect for somebody either looking to upgrade from a £400 tutor model, or somebody who wants to learn with something that would be good enough to progress to a substantial level with.
