This is a beautiful Lachenal New Model 56-Key Extended Treble. It has been fitted with new pads, valves and straps, and has been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz). It has 5-fold bellows and a full set of steel reeds.

It’s been quite a while since we’ve had a New Model of any description in stock, and they always prove to be extremely popular instruments. This one is a good example of the New Model, with a lovely balanced tone and a fairly unique grain in the wood, making it more visually appealing than a lot of rosewood instruments. Some people can be put off by extended-treble instruments, assuming that they feel different to a standard treble. The truth of the matter is, all of the standard treble buttons are in exactly the same positions, you’ll just have a few extra reeds at the top of the instrument. Don’t let that put you off from owning a very nice instrument that you’ll take to very quickly!
