This is a Lachenal 64-Key Single-Action Extended-Baritone with steel reeds. It has been fitted with new pads, and been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

This is a fairly unique concertina- it is a very rare example of a Lachenal with a riveted action. It could have been rebuilt by Wheatstone at some point in its life, but there’s no real way of knowing how it has ended up the way it has- but it plays brilliantly as a result. A lovely, light action with the most responsive reeds (as you can tend to expect from a single action). The range is that of a Baritone going upwards in the top couple of rows. If you want a loud, fast concertina in the Baritone range, there can’t be many better than this.
