This is a Lachenal 48-Key Tutor Model with brass reeds. It has been fitted with new pads, valves and straps, tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz) and has a set of rebuilt bellows. The serial number is 41203.

As budget English concertinas go, this is a nice one. It’s in pretty good condition in comparison to most tutor models, and it plays to a decent standard. The obvious advantage of this over the majority of tutor models would be the bellows. Whilst they aren’t a new set of bellows, they have been rebuilt so you get the benefit of a stronger/better looking set of bellows than you’d find on most other concertinas like this.
